Daniel Pineda’s big upset was worth an extra $50,000

Four fighters earned $50,000 bonuses for their performances at Saturday’s UFC 252 event.

The UFC handed out a “Fight of the Night” and two “Performance of the Night” bonuses at UFC 252, which took place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The main card aired on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and ESPN+.

Check out the winners below:

The opening fight on the prelims proved to be the best one of the night, at least in the eyes UFC president Dana White. Kai Kamaka III (8-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) took a unanimous decision from Tony Kelley (5-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC). Both fighters were making their UFC debuts. The fight was back and forth and razor close when it came to striking. Each fighter landed 114 significant strikes.

Virna Jandiroba (16-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) spoiled what Felice Herrig (14-9 MMA, 5-4 UFC) was hoping would be a successsful return after almost two years away. Jandiroba made things look easy against Herrig, who has plenty of experience on the canvas, and submitted her with an armbar at the 1:44 mark of their women’s strawweight fight on the prelims.
