Eddie Hearn has revealed that he and Anthony Joshua are considering a surprise joint venture into the football agent business.
The promoter and his premier fighter have already cracked stardom within the boxing world and are now seemingly looking to widen their horizons.
When asked if he’d ever considering getting into the football business as an agent, Hearn told British GQ: “That’s a remarkable question because I was having a conversation about that four hours ago.
“Do you know what? I’ll just say it. Me and AJ are talking about doing it.
“We’ve looked at it for a while and he mentioned it to me the other day and he said: ‘You know how to represent athletes, you can use my brand and my name, I know a lot of the players, we go out. You know how to build a career on the pitch and off the pitch commercially, so what do you think?’
“It may not happen, but we’re looking at it. Could be fun.”
Eddie has some experience in the football business from witnessing and working with his father, Barry Hearn, who was chairman of Leyton Orient for 19 years between 1995-2014.
Earlier this month the club put out a statement wishing Barry well after he suffered a heart attack.
